Chess Adjacent. With a smaller board and fewer pieces it gives that chess feeling but plays much faster.
All of your pieces have the same 2 moves available with the goal being to eliminate your opponent's King or move your King to your opponent's home square. The twist is that your available "move" cards rotate each round moving from your hand to your opponent's hand. This give a total of 5 "move" cards each round which are randomly chosen at the start of each game. You make a move, then pass it to your opponent. This makes it devilishly tricky to keep track of what possible moves each person has and will have the next turn.

4/5 Very Good
It's more difficult than it first seems but I enjoyed it. The card passing mechanic is simple to implement but incredible hard to keep in mind. When your available moves change each round it adds and interesting "time mechanic" to the game. It will be interesting to play this with my friend Alex who is very good at chess. I'm wondering if that experience will help or hurt.

4/5
This was what felt like should be Chess Light, but wasn't light enough for me to not think terribly hard. I would like to get more experience, as it was enjoyable but it was not easy to keep all possible options in mind as the available moves changed between players.
